Total pay is as the Summary Compensation Table states it; actually paid revalues the year’s share awards
at its end, as the SEC’s pay-versus-performance rule asks. $100 invested is what $100 in the company’s
shares at the start of the earliest year shown was worth at each year’s end.
Ownership is the proxy’s own table: the directors and officers as a group, and every holder of 5% or more.

Reliance, Inc. buys metal from producers, processes it to customer specifications and distributes it through a network of metals service centers. It is not a steel mill or other metals producer. Its products include carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, alloy, copper, brass and specialty metals. The company was founded in 1939, and Karla R. Lewis is its president and chief executive officer.
A metals service center acts as an intermediary between mills and metal users. Reliance stocks standard sizes and grades, then cuts, levels, saws or otherwise processes the metal to fit an order. More complex services include machining and electropolishing. It generally processes metal into non-standard sizes only after receiving a customer’s specifications.
