Business profile

Updated

Aptiv is an industrial technology company that supplies hardware, software and services to vehicle makers and customers in other industries. Its products help distribute power and data, sense a vehicle’s surroundings, run computing functions and manage software. Founded in 2009, Aptiv is headquartered in Dublin. Kevin P. Clark is its chief executive officer.

Its Intelligent Systems business supplies sensors, computing platforms and software for functions such as driver assistance, in-cabin displays and vehicle control. Its Engineered Components business makes connectors, interconnects and products that protect and manage cables. These components carry power, signals and data in vehicles and other equipment. Wind River, part of Aptiv, provides software used to develop, deploy and manage systems at the intelligent edge—the point where equipment operates and processes information.

Total pay is as the Summary Compensation Table states it; actually paid revalues the year’s share awards at its end, as the SEC’s pay-versus-performance rule asks. $100 invested is what $100 in the company’s shares at the start of the earliest year shown was worth at each year’s end. Ownership is the proxy’s own table: the directors and officers as a group, and every holder of 5% or more. Read the proxy statement
