Business profile

Updated

EQT is a vertically integrated natural gas company operating in the Appalachian Basin. It produces natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and small volumes of oil from wells, then gathers, transports and stores gas through its own midstream systems. Its three operating segments are Upstream, Gathering and Transmission.

The Upstream business drills and operates wells, then sells natural gas and NGLs to marketers, utilities and industrial customers. NGLs are hydrocarbons separated from produced natural gas, including ethane, propane, butane and natural gasoline. The Gathering business moves gas from well sites through lower-pressure pipelines and compression facilities. The Transmission business moves gas through larger pipelines to downstream markets and also provides storage services.
