Business profile

Updated

BlackRock is an investment-management and technology-services company. It manages money that belongs to institutions, financial advisers and retail investors, rather than trading for its own account. At December 31, 2025, it managed $14.0 trillion of client assets.

Clients can hire BlackRock to run a single portfolio, use one of its pooled funds, or use a broader portfolio solution that combines public and private investments. Its investment choices span shares, bonds, multi-asset portfolios, private markets, liquid alternatives, digital assets, currencies, commodities and cash-management instruments. These are offered through mutual funds, iShares exchange-traded funds (ETFs), separate accounts, collective trusts and other pooled vehicles.
