Entegris, Inc. (ENTG) Earnings & Analysis

Updated · Covers results through Q2 FY2026 · Earnings call · How this is made

Latest quarter

Entegris reported Q2 FY2026 revenue of $883.2 million, above the $839.9 million consensus, and adjusted earnings per share of $0.93, above the $0.83 consensus. Revenue rose 11.5% from $792.4 million a year earlier, while diluted earnings per share rose to $0.61 from $0.35.

The filing attributed the sales increase primarily to higher sales in both reporting segments, partly offset by unfavorable currency translation. Material Solutions sales rose to $371.3 million, with gains in products including advanced deposition materials and selective etch chemistries. APS sales increased to $514.6 million, led by filtration and purification products, wafer carriers and fluid management solutions.

Gross margin rose to 47.6% from 44.4%. Entegris attributed the improvement primarily to higher production volumes and lower depreciation following changes to estimated asset lives. Operating margin increased to 18.6% from 13.4%, and free cash flow rose to $116.9 million from $47.0 million.

What management said on the call

CEO Dave Reeder said AI-related investment was lifting demand across advanced logic, memory and packaging. Unit-driven revenue grew 10% in the second quarter, while capital-spending-related revenue rose 15% year over year, led by wafer carriers and gas filtration and purification. He said bookings strengthened across capital-spending-oriented businesses, increasing backlog and giving Entegris more visibility into customer plans.

Reeder said Entegris was unlocking capacity and preparing its supply chain as demand grew. Asked about available capacity, he said he had increasing confidence that the current manufacturing network could satisfy the vast majority of visible demand with limited additional capital investment, though he did not have a breakdown of capacity between unit- and capital-driven businesses.

On pricing, Reeder said customers had recently approached Entegris about more supply agreements. He said its priority was supporting customers through accelerating demand and that “our guidance today doesn’t contemplate material pricing.”

CFO Suki Nagesh said operational improvements helped margins even as Entegris invested ahead of demand. She said the company had increased factory direct labor by a double-digit percentage from Q4 to help unlock capacity. Reeder also said Entegris had decided to exit its US life sciences fluid management business and planned to close its Logan, Utah facility to focus resources on semiconductor businesses.

Asked about the timing of capital spending, Reeder said wafer fab equipment was driving the greatest uplift in 2026. For increased fab construction, he said “the majority of that benefit will actually accrue to 2027, not into the second half of 26.” Nagesh said Entegris expected Q4 revenue to grow approximately 4% from the midpoint of its Q3 guidance range.

Guidance

Reeder said Entegris now expects 7% to 8% MSI growth in 2026, compared with the mid single digit assumption it used at the start of the year. He said the revised industry outlook reflected a mixed but modestly improving environment for mainstream logic.
