(DBRG) and Aberdeen Investments have completed the combination of ZEmobility and VGMobility, creating one of the world’s largest sustainable transportation platforms with over 5,400 electric buses deployed across Colombia and Chile. The merged platform covers 16 concessions and will operate under the ZEmobility name, integrating VGMobility functions under long-term, government-backed, availability-based leases for Bogotà’s TransMilenio and Santiago’s Red Metropolitana de Movilidad, among others. The deal strengthens capital structure and accelerates decarbonisation of public transport in Latin America while expanding growth pipelines in existing and new markets. Company executives describe the move as establishing regional leadership in transport electrification. ZEmobility accounts for about 2,800 buses; VGMobility about 2,600.
