Crocs, Inc. (CROX) Earnings & Analysis

Updated · Covers results through Q3 FY2026 · Earnings call · How this is made

Latest quarter

Crocs reported third-quarter revenue of $1.0 billion, up 4.65% from $996.3 million a year earlier and 3.74% above the consensus. Adjusted earnings per share of $3.69 exceeded the consensus estimate of $3.31.

The company’s filing attributed revenue growth to higher unit sales across both brands and higher average selling prices. Crocs Brand revenue grew, led by higher unit volume, while HEYDUDE also grew as higher volumes offset lower average selling prices.

Gross margin rose to 66.2% from 58.5%; the filing attributed much of the increase to non-recurring tariff refunds and lower duties. CFO Patraic Reagan said adjusted gross margin excluded the tariff refunds and benefited from cost savings and lower tariffs, partly offset by product mix.

Crocs reported diluted earnings per share of $4.52, compared with $2.70 a year earlier. Free cash flow was $275.5 million, up from $226.2 million.

What management said on the call

CEO Andrew Rees said HEYDUDE’s return to growth was driven by wholesale, as retailers reordered products that sold through faster than expected. CFO Patraic Reagan said the brand had improved its inventory composition and reduced discounting on its own website and marketplaces. Rees said the company was focusing on HEYDUDE’s core consumer and extending its offering into sandals, work footwear and seasonal products.

For the Crocs Brand, Reagan said international growth included sales through marketplaces, stores and the company’s website. Rees pointed to demand for new clog designs and sandals, and said the company was investing in personalization and digital shopping experiences.

Asked about wholesale partners, Rees said they remained cautious because of uncertainty about consumers. He said Crocs could hold inventory in products where it had conviction and respond to immediate orders. For the fourth quarter, he expected a competitive marketplace and said the company had accounted for that in its outlook.

Analysts also pressed Reagan on a business-model shift from direct-to-consumer to wholesale. He said it moves revenue between channels while improving efficiency and profitability, adding that there was “no change to units in the market or market share.” The shift reduced North American direct-to-consumer growth during the quarter, and Reagan expected a further headwind over the following quarters.

On margins, Reagan said lower tariffs and supply-chain savings helped adjusted gross margin, while product mix offset part of the improvement. He said Crocs was investing in direct-to-consumer channels and that pricing and supply-chain efficiencies were among the tools available to protect profitability in an inflationary environment.

For the fourth quarter, Crocs expects enterprise revenue growth of 7.00% to 9.00%, including Crocs Brand growth of 6.00% to 8.00% and HEYDUDE growth of 10.0% to 12.0%.

Guidance

Crocs raised its full-year FY2026 enterprise revenue growth outlook to approximately 3.00%. It now expects Crocs Brand revenue to grow approximately 4.00% and HEYDUDE revenue to be approximately flat, both improvements from its previous guidance.

The company raised its adjusted diluted earnings-per-share outlook to $14.45 to $14.65 and said the range assumes no impact from future share repurchases. Crocs also raised its expectation for adjusted operating margin to expand modestly.
