SpaceX agreed to buy T-Mobile's 800 MHz spectrum from Grain Management for $2.9 billion, a deal awaiting FCC approval. If cleared, it could unlock SpaceX's Starlink Mobile as a major US carrier by pairing low-band spectrum with satellite-to-mobile tech, delivering indoor and outdoor service with fewer towers and filling dead zones. The move spooked investors, with T-Mobile down about 10% and Verizon and AT&T down around 8% since the announcement. If SpaceX undercuts prices or scales rapidly, incumbents could face significant competitive pressure and potential price wars, reshaping market dynamics. Dish initially eyed the spectrum for private networks, but SpaceX’s consumer-focused approach could broaden the competitive landscape once regulatory hurdles clear.

Analyst Dan Ives argues Tesla should be valued as an AI platform, not just an automaker, citing a massive data fleet from millions of vehicles, in-house AI models and chips, and the scale to build products under one roof. He says Full Self-Driving is the bridge to autonomy and notes software revenue per vehicle rising with a North American attach rate above 55%. Tesla’s robotaxi service operates in six US cities with about 2.5 million paid miles; a Nevada permit envisions thousands of driverless vehicles; and Cybercab production has begun but faces regulatory and timeline risks. Ives’ sum‑of‑parts value assigns roughly $165 per share to existing car business and about $335 to autonomy and Optimus, with most upside in early-stage ventures subject to deployment hurdles.

Elon Musk's SpaceX disclosed plans to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum portfolio, enabling Starlink to challenge U.S. wireless incumbents. Starlink could move from rural broadband into direct mobile service, threatening AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile by impacting enterprise, emergency services, roaming revenues, and rural coverage. SpaceX intends to deploy terrestrial spectrum alongside rapid satellite expansion to support a standalone cellular network while maintaining its satellite offerings. SpaceX stock rose about 1% on Friday, while AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon shares dropped. AT&T CEO John Stankey said SpaceX could be complementary, eyeing IoT applications and wholesale traffic opportunities that could benefit both sides.

NVIDIA trades at about 15x fiscal 2028 earnings, with consensus target near $328 and most analysts rating it a buy. The firm argues a path to $400 by 2027 would require roughly 69% upside, a tall order even after a 171% return in 2024. The piece highlights three levers: Vera Rubin revenue per gigawatt could rise to $40B (from $25B for Blackwell), a ramp in Rubin GPU and other offerings, and a surge in hyperscaler capex to $1.3T by 2027. Management projects roughly 70% revenue growth in fiscal 2028; demand is said to outpace supply. Additional factors include new neocloud revenue-sharing, buybacks, and a still-large $5.7T market cap, making repeats of past outsized gains less likely. Moderna shares jumped about 9% after the New York Times detailed a planned national cancer vaccine effort, a public-private partnership involving NIH, its nonprofit arm, researchers, pharma and biotech companies, advocacy groups and patients. The program, expected to launch in December, would aim to accelerate development of cancer vaccines in a manner similar to COVID-19 vaccines. Pfizer, BioNTech and Merck also rose on the news. Moderna is viewed as a leader in mRNA cancer therapies, and earlier this year posted melanoma results with Merck. The stock has surged about 627% year-to-date. The report notes UK has launched a similar program, called the Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad. The story is developing and could influence biotech funding, collaboration and investor sentiment.
