Box CEO Aaron Levie says the compute needed for the upcoming AI stage will be insane, with personal agents, enterprise defense agents, code‑review bots, and 24/7 background tasks requiring vastly more inference and infrastructure; we’re only in the early stages of this buildout. The piece notes a rally in AI names and that Nvidia, AMD and Marvell pushed higher as investors stay on the hot AI theme. It also highlights that Nvidia, Apple and Microsoft together now account for about 21% of the S&P 500, underscoring extreme concentration among a few giants. Dan Ives calls the AI revolution the largest technology buildout in history, framing AI as a capital, power and policy shift across the economy.

Nvidia will invest $1 billion over five years to support U.S. science, funding higher-education research, quantum computing, and cloud providers serving government missions. It will collaborate on Phase 2 Genesis Mission projects in quantum computing, fusion, accelerator design and microelectronics. DOE also announced $159 million for 12 Phase 2 Genesis Mission projects, including an AI-enabled digital twin for a SPARC fusion device and rugged microchips for extreme environments. Nvidia has long worked with U.S. national labs and helped build the DOE's largest scientific supercomputer at Argonne; the company is expanding systems across Argonne and Los Alamos. Nvidia stock drifted lower amid broader market weakness, with retail sentiment on Stocktwits described as neutral. The company frames the Genesis Mission as a catalyst for a new golden age of American discovery and industry leadership.

Rapid bond-yield moves can trigger financial blowups according to Macquarie strategists, who note that sharp rises or falls in long-term yields have preceded major crises about every few years over the past five decades. Historic examples include Franklin National Bank’s 1974 collapse, Orange County’s 1994 municipal bankruptcy, and Silicon Valley Bank’s 2023 failure, which followed Fed-rate hikes eroding a long-term-bond portfolio. Globally, yields have climbed, with the 10-year reaching its highest since 2002 and several countries’ yields rising by about 100 basis points since year‑start. The piece links bond-market stress to political unrest in France over budget cuts. Despite this risk, equities could continue higher if earnings stay strong and the Fed pauses, though investors watch a 5.5% yield threshold where valuations tend to compress.

Micron posted a 526% YoY surge in NAND revenue to $14.1B in fiscal Q4 2026, while DRAM grew 343%. NAND, the smaller business at ~26% of revenue, rose mainly on price, not volume, as bit shipments climbed ~10% and prices increased ~30% amid tight supply. Data-center SSDs now account for about two-thirds of NAND revenue, driven by AI workloads and KV cache offload. The company warned NAND supply growth will lag industry growth in calendar 2026, supporting pricing. Shares rose ~4% after the print despite a Taoyuan plant strike authorization. A Singapore fab slated to start output in late 2028 could affect pricing dynamics. A TIKR model implies a mid-case price around $1,516 by Aug 31, 2031 (~39% total return; ~7% IRR), with further upside or downside depending on NAND pricing and supply.

Uber and Pony.ai will test and launch robotaxis in London as part of a broad cross-border autonomous-vehicle partnership, expanding Europe and the Middle East. Pony.ai's Gen-7 robotaxis will begin testing in London in coming weeks, with a model mirroring Zagreb: Pony.ai supplies the autonomous system and Arcfox Alpha T5, while a local partner operates the fleet and Uber provides access to its ride-hailing network; ownership and operator details for London have not been disclosed. The expansion follows Uber's multi-partner strategy, with more than 30 AV deals and a target of up to 15 cities with autonomous trips by 2026. London will also feature Wayve partnerships, with Uber funding contingent on robotaxi deployment milestones, underscoring a broader push into Europe and automated mobility.
