Latest quarter
Veralto reported Q3 FY2026 revenue of $1.5 billion, up from $1.4 billion a year earlier. Revenue was 0.71% above the consensus, although both the reported and consensus figures rounded to $1.5 billion. Adjusted earnings per share were $1.18, above the $1.10 consensus; diluted EPS rose to $1.03 from $0.95.
The company’s filing attributed overall sales growth primarily to Water Quality core sales. It said Water Quality core sales rose 6.4%, led by chemical treatment solutions, while Product Quality & Innovation core sales increased 3.2%. Acquisitions, net of divestitures, added 2.3% to reported sales growth.
Veralto reported an operating margin of 19.7%, compared with 23.2% a year earlier. The filing said selling, general and administrative expenses rose as a share of sales, primarily because of restructuring costs, a reduction in a tax indemnification and other expenses. Gross margin edged up to 60.2% from 60.1%, while free cash flow increased to $304.0 million from $258.0 million.

What management said on the call
CEO Jennifer Honeycutt said demand remained steady across Veralto’s businesses, with recurring sales supporting customer operations. Asked about municipal spending, she said Water Quality equipment purchases generally supported facility upgrades and operational improvements rather than infrastructure projects more exposed to federal funding fluctuations. Industrial applications accounted for 50% of Water Quality sales, she said.
Honeycutt said project timing had affected parts of the packaging and color hardware business and, to a lesser extent, water. She added that the company had not seen indefinite delays or cancellations. In Latin America, she said some water projects had been delayed while customers waited for election results; in China, she did not expect a significant change in municipal spending.
On product quality, Honeycutt pointed to demand for digital workflow solutions and said TraceGains and GlobalVision were being integrated into the Esko digital platform. CFO Sameer Ralhan said software contracts gave Veralto visibility because revenue is recognized over time. Honeycutt also said data-center sales remained small, although they doubled in Q3, with demand spanning treatment and analytics.
Asked about cost savings, Ralhan said the optimization program would deliver $10 million-$15 million in 2026 savings and remained on track for roughly half its savings by 2027 and the full run rate in 2028. He said the program combines process simplification and functional changes with investments in technology and process improvements.
Ralhan said inflation affected some materials tied to oil derivatives, transportation and memory. On pricing, he said Veralto sought to cover chemical inflation while considering instrument, service and consumable prices together: “installed base and having those contracts in place for the longer term is really key.”
For Q4, Ralhan said acquisition effects, particularly Cleanwater1, would offset much of the anticipated margin benefit from operating performance and cost savings. Honeycutt said the digital workflow order book and a recovery in color measurement equipment supported her outlook for the quarter.
