Latest quarter
UGI reported Q3 FY2026 revenue of $1.3 billion, below the consensus estimate of $1.5 billion and down from $1.4 billion a year earlier. Its adjusted loss of −$0.20 per share was smaller than the consensus loss estimate of −$0.35. The diluted loss narrowed to −$0.62 per share from −$0.76.
In its filing, UGI attributed the increase in its adjusted net loss to lower earnings contributions from AmeriGas Propane, UGI International and Midstream & Marketing, partly offset by an increase at Utilities. The company said AmeriGas retail gallons fell as customer attrition continued and it sold its Hawaii LPG operations; warmer weather early in the quarter also reduced volumes and margin relative to the prior year.
UGI said higher Pennsylvania gas base rates helped lift Utilities’ margin. The company reported gross margin of 43.1%, compared with 40.0% a year earlier, while operating margin was −3.31%, compared with −6.67%. Free cash flow fell to $70.0 million from $161.0 million.

What management said on the call
CEO Robert Flexon focused on preparing AmeriGas for the coming winter. He said the company had brought its call centers back to the U.S., was expanding sales channels and targeting residential and business customers. Asked about customer losses, Flexon said attrition had slowed and described the goal for the coming winter as moving from net attrition to net growth. He also said warmer weather around the turn of the quarter affected volumes.
On investment, Flexon said UGI had directed approximately 76.0% of its year-to-date capital expenditures to natural gas businesses, including pipeline safety and modernization. He said administrative law judges had recommended approval of a gas rate settlement that, subject to Pennsylvania regulatory approval, would permit a $65.0 million rate increase in two steps. He said the settlement would provide revenue for continued system investment and include a debt-relief pilot for some customers.
Asked about AmeriGas capital spending, Flexon said the company wanted to reduce the average age of its delivery fleet and improve facilities. He said he expected a continued modest level of investment rather than a spending spike. Executive Sean O’Brien said AmeriGas was using its current-year cash generation to reduce debt and that the company expected distributions from the business to its parent in fiscal 2027.
Flexon also said UGI International was pursuing growth by converting heating-oil customers to LPG. Asked about the international portfolio after a proposed transaction involving a competitor, he said UGI continually evaluates its businesses but did not specify a direction for International.
For Midstream, Flexon pointed to planned well-pad expansions and demand from power generation. O’Brien said some longer-term midstream growth had shifted toward the middle and later part of the planning period, while other divisions could contribute in the interim.
Guidance
UGI reaffirmed its revised fiscal 2026 adjusted diluted earnings guidance of $2.75 to $2.90 per share in its results release. The company says non-GAAP measures should be considered alongside, rather than as substitutes for, comparable GAAP measures.
