Latest quarter
BrightSpring reported third-quarter revenue of $4.2 billion, above the consensus estimate of $3.9 billion. Adjusted earnings per share were $0.54, compared with the consensus of $0.49.
Revenue rose 26.4% from $3.3 billion a year earlier, which the filing attributed to growth in both Pharmacy Solutions and Provider Services. The filing said specialty and infusion pharmacy revenue rose as prescriptions for certain branded specialty drugs increased, while Home and Community Pharmacy revenue fell, primarily because of Inflation Reduction Act effects on drug pricing.
BrightSpring said Provider Services revenue was $481 million, with acquired Amedisys and LHC branches contributing $76 million; the filing also cited volume growth and rate increases. Gross margin was 12.3%, compared with 11.8% a year earlier, while operating margin was 3.81%, up from 2.63%.
The filing reported adjusted EBITDA of $227.8 million, compared with $160.4 million a year earlier. BrightSpring reported free cash flow of $182.2 million, up from $92.2 million.

What management said on the call
CEO Jon Rousseau said demand for BrightSpring’s services continues to increase and that specialty and infusion revenue growth was driven by prescription growth, including branded limited-distribution drugs, generics and infusion therapies. He said the company launched 7 limited-distribution drugs during the quarter and is investing in infusion suites, clinic upgrades and additional therapy categories.
CFO Jennifer Phipps said Home and Community Pharmacy revenue fell 6% year over year, reflecting an approximately $50 million Inflation Reduction Act impact and the decision to exit some uneconomic customers. Rousseau said technology and process investments helped the business grow EBITDA despite lower revenue; in response to a question, he said the law would remain a headwind next year.
Phipps said Pharmacy Solutions’ EBITDA margin was 5.4%, up approximately 60 basis points from a year earlier, with profitability helped by specialty drugs, pharmacy services and operational improvements. She said drug and payer mix affect revenue and gross profit per prescription, but BrightSpring does not rely on those measures to set its growth strategy or allocate capital.
Rousseau said home health census growth reflected new locations, Medicare Advantage relationships and the acquired branches. He said integration of those branches had performed as expected, particularly in technology and back-office work, and that personal care demand continued to outstrip BrightSpring’s ability to provide services.
Asked about competition in specialty pharmacy, Rousseau said the landscape had been “fairly consistent overall.” Asked about spending, Phipps said BrightSpring could use its existing infrastructure while continuing to invest in technology, artificial intelligence and staff, though investment opportunities could move general and administrative costs between quarters.
On cash flow, Phipps said some benefit from the timing of receivables and payables was “1-time in nature.” She also said technology initiatives begun in the second half of 2026 would have more of their effects realized in 2027, while investment would continue.
