Heritage Global Inc. ROIC
ROIC of HGBL for past 10 years: annual, quarterly and twelve month trailing (TTM) including ROIC growth rates and interactive chart.
Return on invested capital (ROIC) is a calculation used to assess a company's efficiency at allocating the capital under its control to profitable investments. Calculated as Net Operating Profit After Tax or EBIT*(1-tax rate) divided by average invested capital. Invested capital is calculated as equity plus long-term and short-term debt minus cash and short-term investments. ROIC is often compared to the Weighted average cost of capital (WACC). If it's above it, it is said the company is creating value, if it's below it's destroying it. A company with after tax operating profit of $10 million and invested capital of $50 million will have a ROIC of 20%.
